Victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking with Jackson, Harmon, Greer, Tillman, and Kiowa Counties of southwest Oklahoma have a safe haven from abuse. The shelter is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The program operates a 24-hour hotline for crisis calls, a safe shelter for those escaping violent situations, offers counseling, support, and advocacy services, children’s services, referral services, sexual assault services, and community education. The shelter is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Adult male victims of domestic violence are provided short-term shelter services of up to 3 days in a local motel. All services except long-term shelter are available to the male client.
Cost. There is no cost to the participant. The program is funded through grants from the Oklahoma Attorney General’s office and the Victims of Crime Act.

The Resurrection House is one of three shelters in Oklahoma that does not accept federal Funding. Doing so would prohibit preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The operation of the shelter depends upon your private donations.
People stay at Resurrection house to help pay off debts and to save money to move out again on their own. Resident projects and help programs help support Resurrection House.

The shelter is the only local facility where clients can stay for a period up to six (6) weeks. The shelter is a home like environment and simultaneously provides them with strong supportive advocacy orientated case management services to assist in finding employment, permanent housing, and education. There is a network of other resources that empowers them to achieve their life goals and become productive members of our community.
